What you make: A Slow Stitch Sampler
Age: 16 years+

Skills needed/taught: Simple hand sewing techniques. Beginner friendly. No prior experience.
What to bring: If you are a hoarder of little fabric offcuts and embellishments, bring them along. You may have a particular item you want to incorporate into your work that holds a special memory. But if you don’t, don’t worry, just bring yourself and reading glasses if needed for close work. If you have your own dressmaking/sharp scissors, then bring them along.
Workshop Summary: Slow Stitch is a mindful and relaxing process of hand sewing a variety of cloths, materials, embellishments and trimmings to create a unique piece of textile art that could be framed, used as a card frontage or part of a dream journal or just kept as it is to enjoy. Each attendee will receive fabric components as well as lace, buttons, beads, needle, threads, canvas backing material and a free motion embroidered motif to create their design. We will theme our creation around Spring and be a lovely way to welcome this wonderful season.
A relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with optional refreshments and scone bar selection to choose from.
