What you learn: About wax, wicking, fragrance es, blending, prepping your vessel, how to refill your used candle vessels at home, suppliers info. Minimum age: 13+ years
Format: If you’re a fan of scented candles and have wondered what goes into making your own, this candle making class in Wirral has the answer! One of the experts from Wirral Candle Co will guide you through the candle-making process to create a beautifully scented candle that will be completed in just one session, ready for you to take home the same day. Covering everything from choosing the correct wax, wick selection and why this is crucial and how to avoid tunnelling, selecting your scent and fragrance loading and how to calculate it for each project to combining it into the wax. Finally you will learn how to do your own refills at home so that all those used candle jars can be put to good use! You’ll have demonstrations of each technique to help build your confidence before you have a go yourself. Don’t worry if this is your first time trying to make your own candle, as you’ll have all the help and support you need. You’ll leave the class with your beautifully scented candle in tow, as well as all the skills and knowledge you need to continue this soothing hobby yourself at home.
