Furoshiki – Japanese Gift Wrap

Furoshiki is the Japanese art of using beautiful printed patterned material to gift wrap. This avoids wasteful paper wrap and sellotape that might otherwise go to landfill. Plus the wrap becomes part of the gift!

Each attendee will be able to choose their own beautifully printed and authentic 48cm square Furoshiki wrap from Kyoto, Japan.  Also included as part of the cost is a 24 page colour A5 printed handbook showing 16 Furoshiki methods. This is yours to keep along with your Furoshiki.

During this 2 hour workshop, we’ll chat about the origins of Furoshiki and go through several ways to use and wrap different sized gifts from bottles to books! We’ll also show you how you can convert Furoshiki to a usable bag in just a few easy steps.
