Age: 18 years+
Suits: Beginner friendly, home decor enthusiasts
What to bring: You will supply your own fabric (see sizes below) so that you can co-ordinate this with your home decor. You can choose to embellish at home with trimmings of your choice or leave as a simple and elegant lampshade/bin.
Empire Lampshade: You will make a professional 25cm Empire Lampshade from the covering of your choice, that can be used as a Pendant (ceiling), or with a suitable table lamp. We recommend using a light to medium weight fabric, either a cotton, poly cotton or a linen/cotton mix. It should be woven, not too stretchy or thick and avoid velvet, wool or easily fraying materials. Your covering needs to be 82cm x 32cm to cover the self-adhesive panel supplied. Ideally source 100cm x 50cm particularly if you have a large pattern to feature.
Wastepaper Bin: Design a waste basket to match your upholstery, curtains, wallpaper or any room theme. You will make a professional 25cm tapered basket/bin from the covering of your choice that can be used in any room. Your covering needs to be 85cm wide x 40cm to cover the self-adhesive panel supplied. Ideally source 100cm x 50cm particularly if you have a large pattern to feature.
Bring reading glasses if needed.
