My name is Lynne, and I am a Fluid Artist and Crafter.
Fluid Art otherwise known as acrylic pouring, flow art, or fluid art painting is a form of abstract art that uses acrylic paints with a fluid consistency. This particular technique has been around since the 1930’s and has its origins in Mexico and has influenced artists such as Jackson Pollock ever since. The combination of pouring method, paint consistency, manipulation and drying time ensures that each piece is unique. You just never know what will happen!
Since the acrylic paint is more fluid than normal, the paint will “pour” off the canvas and settle on the table beneath. As a person who hates waste, I have developed a technique to save this paint, otherwise known as a “skin” and prepare it in order to make my “Fluid Art” Jewellery and other items.
I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy making it.
