DESCRIPTION:Event: Sat Craft Club (See also Tuesday day and evening Craft Clubs)\nLocation: Upper craft area*\, Repair HQ\, The Barn\, 6 Pye Rd\, Heswall\, CH60 0DB\nDay/Time: Saturday’s/ 10.30am-12 \nDates: 20.07\, 17.08\, 21.09\, 19.10\, 16.11 & 14.12. We also have sessions on 11.05\, 08.06 should you wish to book on to those too. \nCost: £15/session with 3 sessions to be booked in one block. Option to mix & match dates if you can’t attend 3 consecutive sessions. Simply specify your preferred months at the time of booking.\nConcession: Pay for 5 sessions up front (£75)\, get 6th session free plus 10% off selected future workshops.\nWhat’s involved? We believe craft is for everyone. It is proven to have health benefits as it is mindful and relaxing. We will show you a taster craft at each session. It could range from anything from Jesmonite\, felting\, decoupage\, mosaics\, soapmaking\, Candlemaking\, macrame and anything else we think you might like to try! \nIf you have any craft items/materials/yarn etc you want to offload\, feel free to bring them. We can always make use of them at future workshops! \n\nOption to buy barista drinks and handmade scones on the day. \n\nMinimum age: 18 years due to sharp utensils and use of glue guns. \n\nWho would this suit? This is the perfect way to try out new crafts to see if you like them before booking on to a workshop.   All the crafts will be suitable for beginners and all components needed will be provided. We may ask you to bring along the odd household item if we are upcycling\, repurposing etc.\n\n* Unfortunately this is not wheelchair accessible. The upper craft area is accessed via approx 12 wooden steps.

DESCRIPTION:Event: Kintsugi \nDate: Sat 16th November 2024\nOther dates: Sat 18th January 2025 and Saturday 15th February 2025\nTime: 12-4pm\nDuration: 3-4 hours                                               Price: £45\nIdeal Age: 18+ What’s Included: All materials\, including a piece of Japanese inspired pottery\, tuition\nSummary: We need to become more aligned with the concept that something being “broken” does not mean that it is useless. Nor do we have to see the concept of actually restoring something as making it ‘as new’.  \nKintsugi teaches us that in life we can turn adversity into something that is beautiful and resilient and shows us that in time\, we can heal from our wounds\, embrace our imperfections\, and become stronger. \nKintsugi known as the golden repair  translates as ‘kin’ meaning gold and ‘tsugi’ meaning ‘join’. \nUsing a 2 part premium non toxic epoxy glue and choice of mica powders\, we will repair a Japanese inspired piece of pottery which will be provided for you.  \nWe will take our time and gently convert our bowl into a beautiful piece to display and cherish reminding us that no matter our difficulties\, we can find a way to reframe and find meaning in life.
