SUMMARY:Kintsugi
DESCRIPTION:Event: Kintsugi \nDate: 29th March 2025 \nOther dates:- 26th April 2025\, 17th May 2025 \nTime: 12-4pm\nDuration: 3-4 hours                                               Price: £45\nIdeal Age: 18+ What’s Included: All materials\, including a piece of Japanese inspired pottery\, tuition\nSummary: We need to become more aligned with the concept that something being “broken” does not mean that it is useless. Nor do we have to see the concept of actually restoring something as making it ‘as new’. \nKintsugi teaches us that in life we can turn adversity into something that is beautiful and resilient and shows us that in time\, we can heal from our wounds\, embrace our imperfections\, and become stronger. \nKintsugi known as the golden repair  translates as ‘kin’ meaning gold and ‘tsugi’ meaning ‘join’. \nUsing a 2 part premium non toxic epoxy glue and choice of mica powders\, we will repair a Japanese inspired piece of pottery which will be provided for you. \nWe will take our time and gently convert our bowl into a beautiful piece to display and cherish reminding us that no matter our difficulties\, we can find a way to reframe and find meaning in life.

SUMMARY:Kokedama Moss Balls
DESCRIPTION:Event: Kokedama Moss Balls\nDate: Sunday  30th March 2025 (Mother’s Day)\nOther Dates: Saturday 1st February 2025 \nTime: 2-4pm\nDuration: 2 hours \nPrice: £35\nIdeal Age: 14+ \nWhat’s Included: All components and materials\, including plant options\, guided tuition\n \nSummary: \n\n\nThe Japanese word kokedama (苔玉) translates to ’ moss ball’. It’s made up of the words koke\, which means “moss”\, and dama\, which means “ball”.\n\n\n\n\nA kokedama is a living plant that’s suspended in a ball of soil and wrapped in moss. It’s a centuries-old art form that originated in Japan and is part of the Wabi-Sabi philosophy. Kokedama can be hung or displayed on a plate and make a beautiful table centre piece or look stunning in a bathroom.\n\n\n\nDuring this fun beginner friendly workshop\, you will be able to pick your preferred plant\, shown how to create the soil blend to create the ball\, how to use the moss and wrap the ball with wire/twine. We’ll discuss after care advice to prolong the life of your plant. \n\n\n\nYou’ll go home with a beautiful Kokedama ready to hang or display at home and treasure for years to come.\n\nAs we have listed the workshop on Mother’s Day\, we have created a Duo Ticket option which gives you £10 discount upon  booking. Perfect as a Mother’s Day gift\, an excuse to get together with a friend or birthday treat. Equally\, just come along on your own and we’ll make you feel very welcome.
