Link here \nFormat: Using both recycled materials as well as wool roving\, yarn and embellishments\, you will be shown how to make your own gnome or tomte duo to proudly hang (or gift if you can bear to part with them!) this festive season. \nMore Info: These are often referred to as ‘tomte’s’ in Norway and were considered to be the very first inhabitant of the farm and helped care for the farm animals and welfare of the land. The Tomte was an honest fellow. He has been depicted as a very small person with a long beard and dressed as a farmer. Whilst ours might not be farmers\, we believe they are symbols of good luck and fortune!  \n\nSo\, who would this suit? This is the perfect fun get together with partner\, friends\, work colleagues and family. However\, if you choose to come on your own\, then this is very much a communal activity where we gather around the table and create as a group so you’ll definitely feel right at home. \nThis is a beginner friendly\, interactive\, simple yet effective fun activity that will hopefully put you in the festive spirit.\n\nAge: This is recommended for teens and adults. Nor do we have to see the concept of actually restoring something as making it ‘as new’.  \nKintsugi teaches us that in life we can turn adversity into something that is beautiful and resilient and shows us that in time\, we can heal from our wounds\, embrace our imperfections\, and become stronger. \nKintsugi known as the golden repair  translates as ‘kin’ meaning gold and ‘tsugi’ meaning ‘join’. \nUsing a 2 part premium non toxic epoxy glue and choice of mica powders\, we will repair a Japanese inspired piece of pottery which will be provided for you.  \nWe will take our time and gently convert our bowl into a beautiful piece to display and cherish reminding us that no matter our difficulties\, we can find a way to reframe and find meaning in life.

DESCRIPTION:Event: Kintsugi                                     \nDate: Sat 14th September 2024\nOther dates: Sat 20th July 2024 \nTime: 10-1pm \nDuration: 3 hours                                               Price: £45 \nIdeal Age: 18+ What’s Included: All materials\, including a piece of Japanese inspired pottery\, tuition \nSummary: We need to become more aligned with the concept that something being “broken” does not mean that it is useless. Nor do we have to see the concept of actually restoring something as making it ‘as new’.  \nKintsugi teaches us that in life we can turn adversity into something that is beautiful and resilient and shows us that in time\, we can heal from our wounds\, embrace our imperfections\, and become stronger. \nKintsugi known as the golden repair  translates as ‘kin’ meaning gold and ‘tsugi’ meaning ‘join’. \nUsing a 2 part epoxy glue\, premium non toxic and gold powder we will repair a Japanese inspired piece of pottery which will be provided for you.  \nWe will take our time and gently convert our bowl into a beautiful piece to display and cherish reminding us that no matter our difficulties\, we can find a way to reframe and find meaning in life.
