DESCRIPTION:Event: Craft Club\nLocation: Upper craft area*\, Repair HQ\, The Barn\, 6 Pye Rd\, Heswall\, CH60 0DB\nDay/Time: Saturday’s 2025/ 10.30-12 \nDates: 12/04\, 10/05\, 14/06\, 12/07\, 09/08\, 13/09\, 11/10\, 08/11 and 13/12.\nCost: Initial taster session is just £15. If after attending\, you enjoyed it and want to attend more\, you just book 3 or 6 sessions and can pick the months you want/are able to attend. If you pay for 5 sessions up front (£75)\, you get the 6th session free.\nWhat’s involved? We believe craft is for everyone. It is proven to have health benefits as it is mindful and relaxing. We will show you a taster craft at each session. It could range from anything from Jesmonite\, felting\, decoupage\, mosaics\, soapmaking\, Candlemaking\, macrame and anything else we think you might like to try! If you have any craft items/materials/yarn etc you want to offload\, feel free to bring them. \nOption to buy barista drinks and handmade scones\, subject to availability. \n\n\nMinimum age: 18 years due to sharp utensils and use of glue guns. \n\nWho would this suit? This is the perfect way to try out new crafts to see if you like them before booking on to a workshop.   All the crafts will be suitable for beginners and all components needed will be provided. However\, we may ask you to bring along the odd household item if we are upcycling tins etc.\n\n* Unfortunately this is not wheelchair accessible. The upper craft area is accessed via approx 12 wooden steps.

DESCRIPTION:Workshop: Drum Lampshade \nDate: Sat 13.04.25 \nOther Dates: Sat 08.02.25 \nTime: 2-4pm \nCost: £35 \nWhat you make: A 30cm Drum Lampshade \nAge: 18 years+ \nSuits: Beginner friendly\, home decor enthusiasts  \nWhat to bring: You will supply your own fabric so that you can co-ordinate this with your home decor. You can choose to embellish at home with trimmings of your choice or leave as a simple and elegant shade. The fabric you should source should be woven\, not too stretchy or thick and ideally cotton or linen. Avoid velvet\, wool or easily fraying materials. Half a metre of fabric would be ample but the exact size is 97cm x 27.5cm. If you want to keep life simple\, avoid fabric that has a directional pattern to it so a smaller repeat pattern for example.  \nBring reading glasses if needed for close work.  \nWorkshop Summary: During this relaxed and beginner friendly ‘no sew’ workshop you will learn to make a straight sided\, 30cm drum lampshade. You can choose whether your lampshade can be used for a hung ceiling pendant or a table lamp base. You will be guided through every step and need absolutely no prior experience or sewing skills. There is no machine or hand sewing involved- we promise!  \nA relaxed and friendly atmosphere\, with optional refreshments and scone bar selection to choose from. \n\nWe also cater for private bookings so just get in touch with your preferred date/s and party numbers to enquiries@thebarnwirral.co.uk
