DESCRIPTION:Event: No Place Like Gnome!\nDate: Tuesday 10th December 2024\nTime: 7-9pm\nCost: £25 to include materials & tuition to create two cute hung gnomes to take home. Hot drinks and a selection of scones can be purchased as optional extras on the day if you choose.\nMinimum age: 13 years upwards \nPick a Duo ticket which admits two and gives you £5 discount. \nOther Dates: Sat 14.12.24 2-4pm. Link here \nFormat: Using both recycled materials as well as wool roving\, yarn and embellishments\, you will be shown how to make your own gnome or tomte duo to proudly hang (or gift if you can bear to part with them!) this festive season. \nMore Info: These are often referred to as ‘tomte’s’ in Norway and were considered to be the very first inhabitant of the farm and helped care for the farm animals and welfare of the land. The Tomte was an honest fellow. He has been depicted as a very small person with a long beard and dressed as a farmer. Whilst ours might not be farmers\, we believe they are symbols of good luck and fortune!  \n\nSo\, who would this suit? This is the perfect fun get together with partner\, friends\, work colleagues and family. However\, if you choose to come on your own\, then this is very much a communal activity where we gather around the table and create as a group so you’ll definitely feel right at home. \nThis is a beginner friendly\, interactive\, simple yet effective fun activity that will hopefully put you in the festive spirit.\n\nAge: This is recommended for teens and adults. There is no alcohol at this workshop but we do have another event for over 18’s where you can BYOB.\n\nWe will also have a younger ‘Sock Gonk’ workshop for our younger crafters if you fancy some festive crafting with your little one!\n\nWe also cater for private bookings such as works nights out so just get in touch with your preferred date/s and party numbers to enquiries@thebarnwirral.co.uk
