Willow Making Workshop “Butterflies & Dragonflies” | £35
June 26 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm£20 – £35
Join us for a morning of willow making!
The session is run by local willow worker, Sarah Gallagher-Hayes owner of Twig Twisters. During the workshop, you will be guided through the techniques needed to create a willow dragonfly and/or butterfly of your very own.
Using high quality and locally sourced materials you will learn the skills needed to start your own willow crafting journey.
Come along and meet like minded people who share a love of crafting in a friendly and unique renovated Barn!
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Suitable for children aged 10 upwards. Any child under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Contact the course tutor to check the age requirements for a workshop if not already specified.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the venue?
On street parking is limited to the front and rear. However, the rear car park is often freely available evenings after 5/6pm. Otherwise May Road car park is accessible within a short walk of The Barn. This is a meter operated system. Public transport links are nearby with the main bus depot being a short walk to The Barn. The venue is easily accessible on foot from Heswall Centre and is located on the same street as The Johnny Pye pub and around the corner from the main PO/Sass hairdressers.
How accessible is the venue?
The workshop space is located on the upper floor and accessed via approximately 10 wooden steps. Access can be gained via the front or rear. There are toilet provisions on the ground floor. We would advise wheelchair users or those with limited mobility to contact The Barn to ensure a car park space is reserved at the rear if possible although there are on street parking options for disabled Blue Badge users at the front of the building.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions? Feel free to get in touch via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or direct to the course tutor direct, if details have been provided.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
If you find that you cannot attend then you are welcome to pass your place on to a friend who may find it useful. Please let The Barn and /or the organiser know if you need to do this. Alternatively, tickets can be transferred to a future workshop up to 14 days before the event itself.
Do I have to bring my e-mail confirmation to the event?
A register will be taken at the workshop so it isn’t necessary to print your ticket. In fact, we’d prefer you didn’t to save the environment!
What is the refund/cancellation policy?
Refunds will be offered in the event of the class being cancelled. In this scenario, we will give as much notice as possible and offer alternative dates if appropriate. This class does have a minimum requirement of ticket sales for it to proceed so there is a possibility of it being cancelled. However, we will aim to contact you with at least 3-5 days notice if this is the case.
If for any reason you find you are unable to attend, then please get in touch and a refund (less any non refundable deposit) can be offered up to 14 days before the workshop . After this period and within 14 days of an event, we are unable to offer a refund.
What can or should I bring into the event?
It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing to most workshops. Please bring tight fitting work gloves to protect your hands if required. Light refreshments will be provided along with biscuits but you are welcome to bring your own snacks, particularly if your course runs over lunch or you have special dietary requirements. Please inform the venue should you have a bit allergy 7 dats prior to attending the workshop.
Course tutors will provide all necessary tools, equipment & materials unless specified.
